My stay at Be Smart Madrid Albufera had some ups and downs. On the plus side, the apartments were quite spacious and clean, making it comfortable for my needs. However, the location was a bit of a hassle, being far from the Metro station, which required quite a bit of walking. It was a good place to escape the city's hustle and bustle, but not ideal for a first-time visitor wanting to explore downtown Madrid.

Rooms

The apartment was spacious with a decent layout, featuring a comfortable double bed and a kitchen. However, it did come with a strong smell which was quite off-putting.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly enough and helpful, though I did notice the language barrier made communication a bit challenging at times.
Location
5.0
Located quite far from the city center, it took about a 15-20 minute walk to reach the nearest Metro station, which was a significant downside for me.
Dining

The presence of a nearby supermarket was a huge plus, allowing me to cook in the apartment without any hassle.
Facilities

I appreciated the kitchen facilities, especially as it helped with my food expenses. Overall, the building had a good standard.

5.0/10

My stay at Be Smart Madrid Albufera had a mix of positives and negatives. The apartments were clean and spacious, which made for a comfortable environment. However, the location is quite isolated and not very convenient for exploring Madrid, as it took me around 20 minutes to walk to the nearest Metro station. Overall, it's affordable, but I would suggest opting for a place that’s closer to the city to fully enjoy the Madrid experience.

Rooms
6.0
The apartment was generally modern and spacious, though the bathroom could use some updates. I appreciated having a separate seating and kitchen area, which suited my needs during my stay.
Service
5.0
Interactions with the staff were decent, but not overly friendly. I felt like they weren't equipped to provide much assistance regarding activities in the city, which was a bit disappointing.
Location
5.0
The hotel is located in a rather industrial area, far from the city center. It felt somewhat dodgy, especially at night, making it a challenge to access public transport conveniently.
Dining
5.0
Dining options on-site were limited and costly, with no real atmosphere or choices for meals. I would have preferred more local dining experiences to enhance my stay.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were underwhelming. Only one swimming pool was open, which was unheated and not very inviting. The lift had issues, and the overall maintenance of the grounds was lacking.

6.2/10

My stay at Be Smart Madrid Albufera was a mix of highs and lows. The affordable rates were a major plus, at just 40 euros a night for two people. However, the location was a significant drawback, being far from the city center and situated in a somewhat dodgy area, which made me cautious about returning late at night. While the rooms were spacious and reasonably clean, the facilities, especially the swimming pools, left much to be desired.

The apartment was spacious and reasonably clean, equipped with a kitchenette and a comfortable double bed. However, it did smell of cabbage, which was quite off-putting.
Service

The staff were not particularly friendly, which affected my overall experience. When I requested to change rooms due to the smell, my request was denied, so I had to deal with it as best I could.
Location
5.0
The hotel is situated in an industrial area, making it difficult to navigate, especially at night. It's quite a distance from the metro and not a place I'd want to walk through after dark.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was included, but it was not appealing, and overall, the food options were expensive and quite basic. Additionally, it wasn't a desirable dining atmosphere.
Facilities
5.0
Though the apartment had modern features, the overall upkeep was lacking. Only one swimming pool was open, and the others looked filthy and neglected. The lift malfunctioned several times during my stay.

I had a mixed experience at Be Smart Madrid Albufera. The spacious apartment was a highlight, but the location was quite inconvenient, being a long walk to the nearest metro station. While I appreciated the affordability and cleanliness of the rooms, the lack of basic kitchen utensils and limited amenities left something to be desired. 🏢🚶‍♂️
